Description: The house was built in 1966 and has 110 electrical service. I would like to upgrade this to the current standard which will mean a new fuse panel as well. I would also like to run electric to our garage a few yards away from the house. In addition to those larger things, I would like to wire for electric in the kitchen to install a range hood and add an outlet or two in the bathroom.
For the garage, it was wired previously. The owner had run wire underground bare wire and hard wired it directly to the electric from the pole before the meter. During a heavy rain last year, this began to spark and catch fire where it was coming out of the ground by the garage. I had the electrician out who disconnected everything and informed me of what they had done. So now I need to re-do it properly. |
